The Challenge

Traffic that does not book a cleaning is just a number. Maid Zen did not need vanity visits, it needed phones ringing, quote forms filled out, and jobs on the calendar. The starting point was a site drawing about 422 sessions a month with conversion paths that leaked potential customers before they ever reached out.

Every decision in this program was judged against one question: did it produce more real leads?

The Strategy

We built the SEO program around commercial intent and a frictionless path to contact:

  1. Prioritized high-intent keywordsFocused on the searches made by people ready to hire a cleaner, not just those researching cleaning tips.
  2. Optimized the money pagesSharpened the service, quote, and booking pages so they ranked and converted.
  3. Made contact effortless on mobileAdded prominent tap-to-call buttons for the large share of visitors browsing on phones.
  4. Streamlined the quote and booking flowReduced friction in the free-quote and book-a-cleaning steps to recover abandoning visitors.
  5. Tested and refinedRan homepage experiments and used monthly conversion data to keep improving the funnel.
We reported success in bookings and quote requests, not sessions. The traffic mattered only to the extent it turned into work for Maid Zen.

The Results

In the first year, every lead metric moved sharply upward, and the funnel got measurably more efficient at the same time.

1,185Total lead conversions, up 203% year over year
451Free-quote submissions, up 69%
105Online bookings, up 119%
109Mobile call-button clicks, up 808%

Overall goal starts climbed 307% and the site-wide conversion rate reached 15.7%, up roughly 65% from the prior year. Contact form submissions rose 136% as well. In short, more of the right people found Maid Zen, and far more of them reached out to book.

The takeaway: rankings are the means, not the goal. When SEO is engineered around intent and conversion, it becomes a predictable source of booked jobs.

Results reflect Google Analytics goal-conversion data for the first twelve months of the engagement, measured year over year against the prior period.
